DISCIPLES PEACE FELLOWSHIP INTERNS Sarah Brown (center), Brian McCreanor (left) and Stephen Yarbrough (right) are surrounded by Disciples general church leaders in prayer during their commissioning in Indianapolis May 31.

Three Disciples young adults are transversing the continent this summer to talk to hundreds of Disciples youth about peace and justice.

The three interns, Sarah Brown of New York City, Brian McCreanor of Columbus, Ohio, and Stephen Yarbrough of Kansas City, Mo., are part of the Disciples Peace Fellowship. Amy Gopp, DPF intern coordinator, said they will "educate and raise awareness about peace and justice concerns with our youth," through mid-August. They are to lead peace workshops during the General Synod/Assembly meeting in Kansas City.

McCreanor and Yarbrough are recent graduates of Disciples-related Hiram and Chapman colleges. They plan to begin seminary this fall. Brown, originally from Brimingham, Ala., works in New York as a human resources administrator at the National Bank of Canada.
